About Us

STEAMMATES provides weekly coaching, tutoring, mentorship, and professional development for 8 - 12 grade students participating in local, state and national STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) competitions.
By creating a sport-like culture of training and performance coupled with fun and interactive activities and experiences, we keep families engaged and motivated, while providing students with skillsets that could alter the trajectory of their lives forever.
Core Values
Our objective is to support students in becoming innovators guided by conscience. As a result we operate each of our classes with a focus on the following key values :

Education is a gift, and we use that gift in the service of others
Progress is the goal - not perfection. We are patient with ourselves and others.
We all grow together. We ask for help and trust our community to provide it.
We think carefully about the consequences of our actions and innovations.
01 Core Features
Small Team Sizes
Our program provides team sizes that don’t exceed 10:1 to ensure individualized attention for students.

02 Core Features
Quality Instruction
We are recruiting retired teachers and industry specific professionals to serve as coaches. By creating opportunities to develop intergenerational partnerships, we aim to provide students mentorship in addition to quality instruction backed by years of experience.

03 Core Features
Community Minded
Students readily use the knowledge they're acquiring to complete community service projects in their neighborhoods. With tasks that range from flyer design to web development, students support small businesses while building a marketable portfolio.

04 Core Features
Curriculum That Pays
Between competitions, we use accredited online curriculum to support students in earning certifications and or college credits outside of the everyday school environment.
